Why PEP-HUB.com?

PEP-HUB assists RIA firms, benefits brokers, service providers and employers in the Pooled Employer Plan experience. From selecting P3/PEP options to PEP fiduciary training to ongoing monitoring support, PEP-HUB provides the industry’s only holistic support services. 


The 2019 SECURE Act created PEPs, as well as outlined duties and responsibilities for both the Pooled Plan Provider (P3) and adopting employers. An uniformed yet somewhat widely held belief is that an adopting employer to a PEP can “set-it-and-forget-it” as all responsibility passes to the P3. Nothing could be further from the truth.


While a PEP option may reduce fiduciary liability exposure for an employer, the PEP adopting employers remain “limited-scope” fiduciaries when joining a PEP. This means that besides prudently choosing a PEP for their plan participants they must consistently monitor the activities of both the P3 and the PEP. Not doing so places the employer in jeopardy of violating edicts of ERISA.


PEP-HUB not only provides vetting and search (RFP) services, but we also provide ongoing monitoring and positive as well as exceptional reporting services of the P3 and PEP to assist the adopting employer and their advisor meet ERISA and the SECURE Act edicts for consistent oversight.
